For what its worth, a B757 with a (full) ZFW of 80000kg will require about 7000kg on a 2 hour short sector, about 11000 on 3 hours. I guess one hour would be 3500kg. Empty is much less, but she does really slurp the gas any time below FL250. Still a great aeroplane to fly, though!!
