Don't be silly, BA don't want to expand into the regions. This sort of rumour is simply wishful thinking by those who work on the ground at EDI. You get the same sort of nonsense at MAN regarding rumours of the 737s returning.
I feel sorry for the BA Connect pilots with constant rumours and announcements regarding base closures or fleet run-downs. Good luck.
