Yesterday 20th July the date of My clubs fly out to East Kirkby to play with a WW2 Lancaster bomber. Wow.
We had the chance to walk round the Lanc watch it being taxied at close range. To be in it whilst being taxied and try every crew position in the aircraft as well as handle the controls. Not bad heh
But there's more we aslo had the chance to sit in a MK IV Spitfire handle the controls and have the cockpitl explained to us in great detail.
Why not quite a perfect day, well we couldn't fly there we had to go by car. Why the
Weather of course.
