It was either '90 or '92, most likely the latter. As far as I recall, he did an initial landing, then a validation flight, then 3 or possibly 4 actual displays; didn't display every day 'cos they couldn't afford the fuel, in spite of BAe offering to pay for it.
A (now retired) controller had a mate in the pub and phoned him with a 10mile check; kept him in beer for a fortnight!
