Hi all,
I have tried and tried again to obtain the relevant info before posting this so apologies if this has been covered before (as I know it has!)
My MEP is up for renewal soon, however I don't think I will have time to renew it until after it has in fact lapsed.
That said, I've consulted Lasors (2005) which says that in order to renew a Multi-engine class rating after the date of expiry (but within 5 years) one must " pass a proficiency check in accordance with appendix 1 to JAR-FCL 1.240 with a JAR authorised examiner".
Can anyone explain what this is?!
How is it different from the 'standard' requirement to renew, namely before your expiry date( a flight of "1 route sector flown with an authorised examiner")??
many thanks,
Emerald flyer.
