Not CC, but in my travels I've been in various situations where grub wasn't provided.

There have been some good suggestions previously in this thread. The easiest option is the fridge/sarnie one. If you're a long stay IE one month, then hotels are usually quite ameanable to little extras. You could even ask for a microwave, if you get one of those then you're away as regards hot grub. Don't do TV dinners etc, but omelettes, crunchy veggies, hot dogs etc etc.

If the breakfast is buffet style, then make use of a doggy bag for stuff like bread, bangers, tomatoes etc.....
