And the problem with sourcing one line pilot job internally is? He met the minimum to be considered. Safety and experience? What makes you think he is any better or worse than anyone else with his experience? The fact he has been in the left seat for quite a few years is immaterial? Strange you know, it is the POLICE airwing after all, and many line pilot jobs have been sourced from outside, and will continue to be so. What is your problem exactly? Did you even apply? Or are we just victims of the "I've got more hours than you so therefore I should get the job" syndrome? Hours aren't everything, training and other experience also count these days.
