The Royal Air Force wishes Her Majesty a happy 80th birthday.
I got involved once in the flypast, worked bloody hard and gave up a lot of my free time to help to make it perfect on the day. And I didn't begrudge a single moment. I would go to the ends of the earth for my Sovereign and those of you who want to save pennies or live in a republic I suggest you bu**er off and live somewhere else - I hear France has a lot of empty places to populate.
Most of the people in this country recognise the stability and prosperity that the Sovereign brings to us and are grateful.
So those of you who winge and moan about cost, overstretch, environment, et al, dry up and get over it.
