It looks as if nothing ever changes in the Gulf then - at least not for at least the last 10-15 years. Agree about DU - more a politician than an engineer or administrator. As for FL - well I think SASless post says it all. From what I hear from friends still at ADA nothing changed there either - still empty promises, awful houses, lousy masters, huge turnover. Aerogulf still the nicest place to work of the big operators, but the worst money and not quite the great place some would like to think, otherwise why would a pilot leave there to go to Kish? Yes Bubia's a nice place to live - if you make multo dollares - but with ADA or Aerogulf you'll never do that.
