FAR 65 Licence

The biggest obstacle for obtaining a FAR 65 A&P licence is
justifying the need for it. Theres a good chance you are'nt
working any N-reg a/c, only Aussie VH, maybe NZ ZK right?

This is a prime requirement and a suitable letter from your
QA dept stating the requirement + you current work on
N-reg A/C.

The exams for the licence are not overly complicated but
can catch out a hardover mechanical Tech or hardover Avionic Tech.

The oral + practical certainly is the big hurdle and even though
the FAR 65 licence is famed for its ease of obtaining, not many
stories feed through regarding the many individuals who fail - many
at the oral and practical. This is performed by a FAA Designated
Mechanic Examainer, lets put it this way - it wasn't easy for me!
