ACP, I'm very sorry to here that. What is your current experince level?
If you are straight out of a training school then it is a VERY big Gamble to take.
I am relatively experienced, that is the problem though, as the Jet I currently fly, use to stand you in good stead to move on. Unfortunately the likes of Easy Jet have devalued that experience, which now makes it very difficult for me to move on, even though I have over 5000 hours on that type, they would still rather I went through their TRSS course which is taking the P1ss somewhat!
My view is that if you are experienced on a reasonable Jet, then adding a rating such as the A320 or B737 may well open the door we are looking for.
There are jobs available at the moment that will consider your past experience and offset that against you just having the basic rating.
It is STILL a gamble but one that I consider worth taking.
