If EK is paying for my rent, that's money that I wouldn't have in the US, so I guess it averages itself out.
And if things weren't bad enough before. Uncle Sam will start taxing you on the money EK will be paying for your rent.
And remember rent in Dubai is expensive. And this will not be covered by the exclussion.
