As far as I'm concerned, a potentially restorable airframe slowly rotting in a swamp is of absolutely no heritage value whatsoever!!
A far better idea would be to allow recovery of an airframe for restoration on the strictly enforcable (how to enforce is another question) provision of returning to PNG a fully restored to static display example of the aircraft recovered. ie If you want one for yourself you'd better get a couple to start with.
Comments anyone?
