Coventry Airport functions around the clock and supports a busy Thomson-fly operation. The loading and unloading of cargo and passenger flights makes this position very physically demanding. You will be required to load/unload baggage, clean aircraft on weekends, pushback aircraft, de-ici aircraft, chock, step and power, start-up engines, empty and refill toilets, including the general service of the aircraft on 25 minute turnaround. You will be working a 4 on 4 off days & nights shift pattern. £12,838 rising to £13,338 pa £6.41 ph after a successful three or six month probationary period (includes shift allowance)
For the above positions you will need to be prepared to work flexible and unsociable hours in accordance with operational shift requirements. Shift work is based on rotational period over a seven day week including weekends and bank holidays. A full driving licence, (6 points max but no drink drive convictions) will be required together with completion of a FULL company medical, (Required to Drive Airside).
Your employment with Coventry Airport Handling Ltd will be subject to strict security vetting with the requirement for a 5 year checkable work history and a satisfactory criminal record check before commencement of employment, as directed by the Department Of Transport, Security Directorate.
