The US seems to be the cheapest place to go, with wet rates for C152 working out at about 45 pound an hour at some of the florida based schools.

It is also notable, that twin engine rates in florida, what with the dollar being so weak and that work out at about 100 quid an hour, roughly the same as hiring a 152 in the UK!

So for the same price as 80 hrs on a 152 in the uk, u could get 80 twin hours, very advantagous!

Try searching for Orlando flight training or Naples air centre on google, there are however many many schools in Florida offering cheap hire, esp for large blocks.

Or you could actually make money whislt building up your hours by operating a shifty operation doing pleasure flights, aerial photography, "flight experiences", or some other way of cashing in. Strictly ilegal with only a PPL but you might get away with it if u are lucky!
