Back in the 80s you couldnt hold a decent conversation in LFA 3 for the sound of Her Majesties finest Gaz pieces @ 43,700 revs "doing a Pinex M'Lud", or a proper PFL to overshoot a field in IF Area A. We took those halcyon days for granted, the smoke of a distant F4 chasing his oppo round the edge of Dartmoor, the jinking of an A10 from 90 AOB L to 90 AOB R. Was he wearing white gloves or olive drab ? what was written on the dymo tape on his bone dome.....
Nowadays all work is stopped, all bartering put on hold and we lean on our shovels even if a Merlin happens to chance over at a FL or two. Bring back the Cold War.......... we miss you.
Would a decent FLY NAVY logo painted on the barn roof do the trick ??
