Just a quick heads up about the BA simulator assessment day. The ancient BAC 1-11 sim that is used at the moment is finally being retired - too expensive to keep servicable and some parts unavailable. Recent trip to a museum for instruments has focussed minds.
From this summer we will be using a B747-400 fixed base sim. This has no motion or visual system and EFIS displays will be switched to NAV so no map display.
Basic flying skills will still be assessed and no previous 744 time will be needed.
