What i meant is that people never leave, (ie) to fill Dead's mans shoes means that someone has to die or retire before a vacancy arises.
A similar situation would be many of the Airline reps, especially in T3 - LHR.
Many of the 1 / 2 flight a day operators have very well paid staff with all the perks etc, so consequently they never leave - why would they, however in ny experience working for both an airline and a handling agent, these people become very insular, not realising the harsh financial realities of the avaition world.
I won't name any airlines in particular but take a look around T3, at several non UK carriers and you will see what i mean !
