I guess there not joking, or they wouldnt be charging this price, so there must be someone paying it.
It's a scary amount of money to spend, but i guess Mytravel and Alteon think it is resonable. Remember they are running a training course and charge what
they think is the appropriate market price. Its up to pilots to decide whether or not its for them.
And at that price
, wonder how many pilots will take them up on it ?
