Would think the Sycamore would be mega-tricky!!!
'Twas a remarkable machine in its own idiosynchratic way and when set up properly, in lowish temperatures, was nice to operate. HOWEVER, it had WOODEN, individually hand balanced rotor blade sets and finding hen's teeth would be child's play in comparison to finding a set of those. VERY prone to ground resonance and getting high polished Hillman Husky hub caps ( ) for the authentic SAR version might take a while.
Memories of (finally) 'hooking the drum' off Aden harbour, and winding in with 46in set, descended the helo rather than lifting the drum
Don't make 'em like that any more - maybe just as well!!
