Aircraft has gone through D Check and interior refurb before arriving at Astraeus, and has the new leather seats in the front bit. It is also getting leather seats in the economy cabins shortly. It's actually quite nice.
Cabins are only a problem because the contracted engineering people don't do their job. Was on the aircraft a few days ago and a seat-back panel had come loose - handed it to a Monarch engineer who threw it into the overhead locker and said he didn't have time to fix it. It is no surprise that there are problems when there are not enough engineers at Monarch to do the job they are supposed to.
Haven't heard anything about a fifth 757 though.
