I don't work for Rex, but another regional based in Sydney, and 1600 take home would be about right on average, including allowances. I believe the Rex metro and saab guys get paid the same.
And it certainly isn't a hell of a lot of money in Sydney if you want to do anything more than share a shanty and only drink at the RSL during happy hour.
Enjoyable flying though...
