Ah my experience of airline pilots is that they like to have the "best job" they,ll always tell you about the exceptional pay cheque never the poor one.The rumour network gets hold of the high figure and extrapolates it into an absurd figure.Those figures I mentioned involved a small amount of days off working ,standard but not extra pension contributions and all allowances ,duty/sector pay etc.Final earnings for last year were a tadge under £100k but then the nice Mr Brown likes his share.Lifestyle and interesting flying are all important to me don,t believe all the bar talk heard about take home pay.I do know however that the top paid pilot in BY earnt over £150K last year but he sold his soul (and days off) to the company
