I had my class one initial last wednesday. As some of the other guys have stated they tell you it should take around 3 hours, though mine took about an hour and three quarters with 5 other guys going through the process at the same time.
There is a canteen, which is on the third floor. It serves some excellent food; I had a continental breakfast whilst watching aircraft on the approach!
