Taking your dog overseas

Lizzie my Jack Russell terier has particularly been enjoying her trips (with ear plugs) in the baggage bay of the Super Cub recently. She'd quite like to extend these to encompass the continent of Europe. If she gets a doggy passport, whatever that is, is this possible for her without enormous red tape?
