no you don't have to do it.I'm sure there is no offence taken by those reading your post , but it boggles the mind why people such as yourselves sign up for casual conditions with no guarantee of fulltime employment.
It is assumed that you believe or hope you will be offered a fulltime / permanent position one day in the future.
Perhaps casuals need to negotiate a
guarantee of full time /permanent employment after a period of time, such as 2 years, for themselves when starting their contract.
As the new IR laws so clearly advocate it is up to you to negotiate on your own behalf.
