Airshow
How many of yez saw the airshow at Cork yesterday? It was one of those exceptionally rare days at Cork with gin clear visibility all around. The Mammy in law was due out on FR906. Saw the FR905 turning left base for a visual approach to runway 17 just after 6 pm. She looked a biteen high and needed to bleed some of it off. She did that but then looked a biteen fast and a go around was begun at what seemed to be around circuit altitude. The graceful lady, EI-CSA, adorned with her smart new winglets was gleaming as she passed us all by at the Liberty Stream Balcony in the beautiful clear blue sky with the bright sun going down in the west. What a sight!
It seemed an age but the lady came around again 10 minutes later shooting a standard ILS approach for a safe landing on 17. This time though she had a large audience with a big turn out of old and young alike watching her all the way down the approach to landing.
Those Ryanair passengers sure got value for their short flight from Stansted to Cork yesterday.
Sure enough it all happens at Cork Airport!
