sorry to say this but the reason they are still recruiting is because they are hugely undercrewed at the moment, actual flights have been increased even though some routes have been dropped and they haven't got enough people checked on the a/c they have planned for certain routes, i am getting out next month after several years with by as the company is going to the wall, tui have destroyed the brand and i honestly believe that those still in are in for a hard summers work.
having said that we seem to have improved on last years long haul with better lengths of trips and fewer bullets, winter is just as busy so long as you are at a long haul base, sh only see a vastly reduced program.
