Despite all the slanging off Ryanair receive I am in a position whereas I am aware who is looking for alternative employment and who is not.
The only applications that, in the main, seem to be received from FR pilots are those that seem to being sold down the river through the command upgrade re-contracting. It seems the majority, if not all, of FR's current commanders are content with a 5 on/5 off, indeed 5 on/4 off lifestyle and, by industry standards, a pretty good salary
Most people work a 5 day week, these guys work a 3-4 day week, I could do with that but not the contempt of being treated as some, if not all, of them are but at the end of the day we either go for a job that we're happy with or a job that pays the most money and we grin'n'bear it.
I hasten to add that prostitutes go for the latter, they smile whilst they're working and complain they're sore afterwards
