Demented (appropriate) and ESG...
You
really think so? In South East Asia it would be considered a windfall, but in the UK/the Continent it's
borderline woeful.
A meal for one (not necessarily with booze - a decent meal with fresh ingredients & veggies) can set you back 30-40 Euro or similarly in quid and that's just in a modest restaurant, not some five* joint (not that I'm looking for it). I wouldn't expect a Company to fund a lavish lifestyle, BUT at the same time I will not reduce myself to eating "junk food" and ruining MY health when the Company expects me to be in good health on a p1ss poor allowance. Plus who wants to eat the same old dishes in the same old hotels for petes sake... it's over 6 quid just to catch the tube into London and bleedin 40-50 quid to take a cab from LHR
And on the Continent? I don't even dare... cabbies just wanna fleece you
At least in Europe one can walk.
Cod's right... so much for teamwork/comraderie these days... everyone stays in... how boring
