Don't you mean the Channel BAC 1-11's? The Tridents use to operate out of Stansted. I am not aware that they ever operated out of Southend.
The Trident did normally operate out of Stansted due to runway limitations at Southend (hey, I once used much of the length here landing a C152
). However they did go out of there from time to time, possibly after maintenance.
