Just as a matter of interest, does the Brookfield contract specifically use the word 'salary'.
Some might think it a trivial point but it has legal implications, most contractors are self-employed and responsible for their own taxation etc. and they are paid a monthly 'fee' for their services.
If a Brookfield contracts says the word 'salary' then this legally implicates that the individual is a direct employee of Brookfield and if Brookfield haven't been making deductions for tax etc. at source and paying their employer's 12.8% NI contributions then all parties could find themselves in the SH one T, Brookfield and indeed the individual.
