Hey Moley

Have been hour building at OFT, fair enough school at a busy airport...if you are hour building and haven't flown before in the US be sure you get the instructor to explain the airspace and the various procedures whcih differ from the UK. Get them to give you an insight to the local area and a lowdown of all the nearest frequencies for vfr flght following or ifr flights! Unfortunately I was left to work it out on my own and got the feeling that the instructor on my check flight just wanted me to show him that I could fly a PA28. As I was hour building and would not fly with him again I felt he didnt give a monkeys what I did up there! Understanding the airspace and how the FAA like you to fly can lead to your initial flights being a little more comfortable than mine!
