I live in Beverley about 7 miles out of hull heading for the country side.
If you like crime,filthy towns and no decent industry anymore humberside(now east yorkshire) is the place to be!
As Pug mentioned some of the west hull villages are nice and my town of beverley has house prices to match the south!
On a plus a bit further north in to the North yorkshire moors it is fantastic,there are also some good local attractions -The Deep.Humber Bridge and the nightlife is pretty good.
As mentioned earlier Humberside airport is great,I fly from there and its worth the scandlous bridge toll and 30 min drive
