If you want to perform instrument letdowns into airfields without a published approach you should keep your IMCR valid. You cannot do that with your FAA IR, 91.175 forbids it. Even then, if you are flying an N-reg part 91 applies, so you might not even be allowed to do it even with an IMCR.
