Ukatco_535 covered most of it and I agree completely.
There is also the case that we can't correct the pilot if s/he gets it wrong!! Then they either come back to you a couple of minutes later (usually stepping on someone else) which you don't need when you are busy or they get lost and that can lead to all sorts of things such as interceptions
There is no substitute for professionalism!!
