No one at BA is going to blame new entrants for jumping ahead of existing crew and going straight into longhaul. 99% of BA crew, even 99.99% are mature and bright enough to understand that what is going on has nothing to do with the wishes of new entrants at all, so please don't worry on this count. We look forward to welcoming you aboard the fleet.
Second thing to say with regards to some new entrants going to LHR shorthaul...it's true, some courses have been shunted into shorthaul, but only a minority.
Don't ask about what is going to happen after 6 months...NO ONE, not even recruitment really know...yet. Decisions have been made and reversed in the past, sometimes in quick succession; that's the norm at BA. If you've been accepted, congratulations. Don't worry about the details too much, just enjoy the network, the planes and the new uniform. We've got a great bunch of crew, you're in for some laughs and good times...whichever fleet you're on.
