Don't be afraid to call them and ask, they are really not the kind of people to tell you to go away. In fact, they might ask you why you didn't call earlier!
I sent mine on a Friday and called up Monday morning to ask if it arrived (I don't trust fax machines one bit). She had a quick look through the pile, commented on my hand writing (
) and said she'd get in touch by the end of the day. By Monday 4pm I had an email inviting me for Stage 2.
