Make sure to talk to your instructors about your fear - they will probably have picked up on it anyway (the white knuckles and pale skin usually give it away!) and can help you to overcome it.
It's nothing to be ashamed of and most fear disappears as knowledge and experience grow. The bit that's left is a good thing - stops you getting into trouble...
Gaining your PPL is a real achievement - particularly so if you overcome some personal hurdles to get there. I urge you to carry on because the rewards are so worth it. Good luck.
