My apologies for not writing in Italian. I spent too little time in Bergamo to learn the language.
When I flew for wonderful wizard airways based below la citta alta; I ended up flying to London City nearly every day. I understood from the Chief Pilot, a man who had spent much time in Johannesburg, that there were only one or two Italian Captains who were happy to fly in and out of city airport.
I didn't mind doing so at all and indeed I met some very fine pilots during my short time with the company. By the time I had finished, I didn't much want to fly into London City either!
But I have to say that the approach into Bergamo could be a devil at high speed. What!
