I also had a similiar letter sent to me just before my interviews, many moons ago!
Thats what EK are asking.... and i'm sure it doesn't look good if, from the beginning, applicants can't follow a simple instruction.
Ooh ooh ooh..... tell your friend to wear red lipstick... i know it sounds funny.. But my friends 'dressed' me for the interview (both were with EK at the time) and i got the job.
Of course the ONLY reason i got the job was cos i was wearing red lipstick and pearls... HAHAHA.
