The airline was a good airline, had a lot of hard working and dedicated crews, was good at what it did and had a niche which I believe is still there. You have to look further up the food chain to lay the blame, Commercial and Ops made some bizzare decisions with crewing adding in their 2 penneth. Ivor is right, the way crews were selected for the last 'sacking' was outragous. DB selecting the pilots he liked and the girlfriend of the boss selecting the cabin crew.
