This thread prompted me to look back in my first logbook, and found the 47G3B1, 47J2, 47D,and 47H entered. Lovely machines, although the 47D I think it was, could be a handfull if you were too rough with it having wooden blades and no hydraulics. My memory is not what it used to be, assuming I used to have one, but the image of me with both hands on the cyclic trying to get out of a 60 degree bank with jack stall following a near miss with a fighter on a low level run to the ranges offshore in Lincolnshire comes back now and then.
