I have most of the times every month a nightstop in NY. I always visit the internetpage
www.nycvisit.com in advance where you can find very nice locations and things to do. A suggestion from my side: Just go once not to the typical places but go to Greenwich Village. Very nice area, good restaurants and bars and most of the times not overfilled with tourists.
