Hello all,

Having looked at this deal for the past 3 days it's definately a NO for me.

As a SFO who's on 40,584 basic now, I should be getting a basic of at least :

40,584 + 3.5% = 42,004
Loyalty Bonus 5% = 2,100 (I'm currently not getting a loyalty bonus)
Sectorpay Taxed = 3,216 (600 factored sectors, 750 actual in 2005)
Sim + recurrent = 129
--------------------------------------------------------
Total basic = 47,449

That's what I should be getting, they're offering 44,990, so NO thank you.

What will happen with airbus course allowances? mileage?
For captains the deals is probably even worse as they currently get more cash for nightstops and ground trainig duties compared to the new deal.

Taxfree sectorpay increased from 7.50 to 7.80, a massive 30 Pence more, if they increased this to 10 pounds, then I might think twice about the offer.

Performance related bonus? Come on, get real...this is something that would be nice to get, but I would never include this into actually calculating how much this deal is worth.

Pension, hmm...still 7%.....yes the basic has gone up, so for me it's 310 pounds more per year. No idea what the salary exchange is actually worth...so until someone explains how it works I'm disregarding that.

I really wonder why BALPA think that this is good deal, I don't see it, all the other people I've spoken too don't see it....what is it that we're missing?

PS: FlapsOne, I would have imagined that as you have dealt with EZY-management that you would understand....EZY-managers will never consider 'COMMON' to be equal to 'THE SAME'.
