New Routes at Cork
I agree with Brian about the lack of new routes. In 2004/5 Malev, Aerlingus, BMI Baby, Easyjet, Ryanair and Aer Arann either increased frequency and service or introduced new routes. In recent months BMI have withdrawn from East Midlands and reduced frequency on Manchester.
BA have withdrawn from ORK-MAN and Aer Arann have stopped selling seats on ORK BHX from late March.
The present 30% increase in traffic will not last unless new business is secured quickly. The board should remember that the days of hiking up charges at every turn have long since gone at airports that want growth.
