Balance field means TODA=ASDA...
maybe u were thinking of Balanced V1..which is something different, it means to reduce V1 so that the distance from brake release point to V1 is the same as the distance from V1 to the screen height (35 ft for a class A a/c).This in turn will increase the field lenght limited take off mass .
