Because you wannabes are stupid enough to pay over the dollars. If you can't see that this is the reason, I'm not surprised you're paying the money
It's not just about stupidity. There will always be someone out there who is rich enough to pay these amounts of sums to fly planes (won the lottery, dad has a goldmine, mother is a celebrity chef etc etc). This is never going to change. They will view this cost as a fast track method of getting on to a jet. We have three choices, 1.) We sit back and moan about (mostly) rich kids getting jobs. 2.) We try damn hard at trying to find a valid method of lobbying someone or something about the whole "training" industry. 3.) We set up an awareness campaign about such schemes (highlighting the blatant exploitation, and money grabbing) in an attempt to demonise such schemes. I like option 3!
