Nothing on this as yet; does anyone get the feeling that they are ready to announce something imminently, or is everything now contingent on the whole pensions issue?

There were reports in the paper that this might be met by proceeds from privatisation, but I don't see how that's going to escape EU Commission attention because of state aid.

However, there are many other airlines in less positive financial shape than EI that have placed aircraft orders; with such healthy prospects ahead - particularly with Open Skies, surely it's a good bet for lessors and other financial parties?

What's holding them up?
