ChewyThe Wookie.. As an ex-B.A. hostie myself on that very same fleet, I found it very hard myself to adjust. I enjoyed it and will never knock B.A. as a company, they were very good indeed, pay & condtions etc. I'm 35 now and have been in this 'game' for about 15 years. Aviation never ceases to amaze me in the fact that it literally never stops & is always changing. there are alot of airlines out there and I really think it varies greatly from 'north and south' also. The best paid airline apart from B.A. I believe is 'easyJet' my friends tell me that as an employer, they are very good & although you work very hard (at certain bases) the pay & conditions are very good. average take-home pay for crew is about £1400-£1500 & pursers about £1600-1700 realistically. The futures bright, the futures orange!
